ZACK collects, sorts, and recycles electronic devices to prevent additional carbon emissions.
The electronics industry is having a growing impact on GHG emissions. With the digital transition underway, the digital sector is the fastest-growing in terms of emissions, with forecasts indicating that this figure will at least double by 2025. So there are two major challenges to decarbonizing the digital sector: making digital use less energy-intensive, and decarbonizing equipment. The Manutan project responds to this second challenge by extending the lifespan of electronic equipment. electronic equipment. Manutan collects this equipment for recycling. A hrough donation, reconditioning and specialized recycling, this project is part of a circular economy approach, necessary for sobriety. Equipment is recovered, put to maximum use and even repaired through reconditioning. Where this is not possible, raw materials are recovered. These processes are less energy-intensive than the complete manufacture of new equipment, thus avoiding CO2 emissions. Carbon credits enable Manutan to improve its collection of equipment, by picking up equipment that would normally have ended up in the common garbage, in order to have a greater impact.z
