Portfolio Bonos Jaguar del Mayab

These projects conserve and protect more than 76,000 hectares of bio-diverse forest within the Yucatán Peninsula, Mexico. They are hosted by the local communal landowners, the Ejidos X-Hazil y Anexos, Caoba, and Felipe Carrillo Puerto. The projects were developed by The Earth Lab, an experienced local carbon project developer, in partnership with Invert.

**About the project:** The Bonos X-Hazil Ruta Sian Ka’an, Bonos Aroma Del Mayab, and Bonos Laguna Síjil Noh-Há projects span 76,218 hectares in the southeast of Mexico in the state of Quintana Roo on the eastern coast of the Yucatán Peninsula. Known for its stunning natural beauty, rich biodiversity and its proximity to popular tourist destinations, the importance of this region lies in the role of connecting the largest protected natural areas of the Yucatán Peninsula. *Nature Conservation:* The projects will conserve more than 76,000 hectares of forest. *Biodiversity:* The project protects and fosters biodiversity of dozens of flora and fauna, including multiple endangered and protected species. *Community:* The project goes beyond carbon, providing numerous economic & social benefits to local communities. **About the developer:** The Earth Lab is a holistic team of sustainability consultants, specialized in the certification and development of carbon projects that deliver tangible climate benefits while creating economic value for local stakeholders.
